Panasonic GH2 1080p24 framegrab #8 cablefreak posted a photo:

Still frame from 1080p24 movie captured with the GH2 in cinema mode, transcoded to ProRes422 and graded in Final Cut Pro X, rendered out as ProRes422 then grabbed this screenshot from QuickTime player 7. No sharpening applied, no editing in Photoshop. The RAW film quality from the GH2 in 1080p24 is simply remarkable. From what I've seen with my own tests, the image from the GH2 looks sharper and more cinematic than the $5.000 Panasonic AF100/101.
Lens used: Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95, Genus Fader-ND |

2011 CTA Holiday Train contemplative imaging posted a video:

This is a horrible video, but I felt video would be a better match for the sights & sounds of the Holiday Train than mere still photos. So even though it's bumpy, and I messed up on the focus, you can still get a taste for the fun and cheer of the 2011 Chicago Transit Authority "Holiday Express."
There are three takes in this 90 second video:
1. The train arrives at the Jefferson Park station
2. Quick interior shot of the train
3. The train at the Lake/Clark subway station
Video shot completely hand-held (obviously!) and without any image stabilization (also obviously!). Sorry about the poor focus, that's what I get for being fiddly with then settings, instead of just using what works.

Morning Hour (hacked GH2 44Mbit) on Vimeo by Martin Wallgren cablefreak posted a photo:

Shot briefly during half an hour two days in a row before getting to work. Footage from a hacked GH2 using the 'CBrandin' 44/32Mbit patch. Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95, Genus Vari-ND, Manfrotto 755XBK tripod, 501 head and Glidetrack. Edited in FCPX, some of the clips are graded while some are straight from the camera. Used filmtype 'Smooth' -2 -2 0 -2 setting. Some of the scenes were shot in 720p50 for the slow-mo. The cam is stable as a rock at 44M.
Great thanks to the man: Vitality Kiselev for bringing PTool and the hack development, and CBrandin and the test team for your brilliant work.

Ruins of Atlantis Marine Park - Testing the Nex 5 on Vimeo Lisa_Moate posted a photo:

Another old video that I had forgotten to add here. My partner and I discovered the ruins of what was once a marine park and decided to go exploring. This isn't exactly going to win me an Oscar, it was handheld on a windy day and a little rushed, but I just wanted to test out the Nex 5's video function. I since sold the Nex 5 because for me its a little too limited and basic, but for beginners its a great little camera. As you can see from this video, it does a half decent job :)
